Nitro 2,318/3200 Posted March 1, 2018 (edited) Hey, guys! As of my writing this, it is 9:26pm PST. This means that it is currently 12:26am EST (Eastonn Standard Time) on the 1st of March. This means that for anybody in EST or further east, the Shiny Living Dex Project has begun! I'm creating this thread so that we have a place to discuss the Project and its rules, as well as to ask any questions you might have about the Project. Spreadsheet link here. If you didn't manage to get signed up, just post your Gmail address and any TIDs and IGNs for the games you have or that you plan on hunting in and I'll get you set up! If you don't want to put your gmail address in a publicly visible area, feel free to message me with it and I'll add you to the spreadsheet. We're still considering where to put the proof / bragging thread - whether to make a separate post for it, or to convert the Shiny GET! megathread for this month to serve that purpose once it's posted. @Koenkloo and I will keep everybody posted on that! This project will not be given a time limit. Those who participate will be given as long as they want to complete the Living Dex. Awards will be given for significant contribution to the project, per these guidelines: One Honor Star will be awarded to any participant who contributes 10 or more different species of shiny Pokémon to the Project over its completion. One Star of Valor - Third Class will be awarded to any participant who contributes 25 or more different species of shiny Pokémon to the Project over its completion. One Star of Valor - Second Class will be awarded to any participant who contributes 50 or more different species of shiny Pokémon to the Project over its completion. One Star of Valor - First Class will be awarded to any participant who makes an extraordinarily significant contribution to the Project over its completion. Necessary contributions for this award will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis after the Project is completed. As you can see, we've got a pretty great array of awards lined up! Anybody can take a bit of time to catch ten species of shiny Pokémon within two or three months without much trouble. However, if you're willing to put more effort into the contest, some higher-honor awards can be obtained! I'm really looking forward to this contest and I'm sure you guys are as well. The contest starts as soon as the clock strikes midnight in your local time, so feel free to start hunting for it any time after then. Yep - the slots are on the right hand side. It's mainly so that we can spread out our efforts and get more hunts going for different shinies. I only have Sun and Ultra Moon since I sold my DS and all my games a few years back when I was going through a rough patch. KoolDewd123 0/300 Posted March 1, 2018 (edited) The hunts I was doing anyway were Squirtle and Cresselia, with occasional dabbles in Friend Safari. I’ll mark the first two on the spreadsheet when I get the chance. EDIT: I also plan on going for the Nidoran lines after Squirtle.
