My family keeps saying too many people are going in Computer Sciences and not enough people are going into the trades (Electrician, Plumber, etc). Apparently there's big money to be made working at one of the trades. I personally went into programming. I did 2 years of college (Though I already knew most of what was being taught since I started programming at age 9) and I worked in the field for over 10 years. During those 10 years I worked at 3 different companies. Once or twice at each company I "burned out" and had to take stress leave. In programming jobs for the most part you don't work 9 to 5. You have deadlines and you have bugs. Found a bug and having trouble with it? You might find yourself working from 8AM to 11PM - maybe even later. And it's mostly salary work - not by the hour. Web design in particular is an extremely over saturated field. Finding work is especially hard because there are websites where clients post jobs and people bid on them and the lowest bidder gets the job. The problem with these sites is the devalues the work due to hordes of east Indian and Chinese programmers bidding insultingly low numbers on jobs. I'm not trying to burst your bubble if you want to be a web designer. I just want you to know a bit about the field and really think hard if it's what you want to go to college for and work at.

I've only read 1 or 2 of the Harry Potter books while I was on an extended stay in the hospital but I can't remember which ones.. Yeah everyone says it's great but my only exposure to Eragon is the VERY bad Nintendo DS video game made based on Eragon. I'll add the books to my reading list I love fantasy literature.

Recently started DM'ing a D&D game (Pathfinder actually) for some DI members. Haven't roleplayed in a while and I went all in and bought a one year Pro subscription to Roll20 and bought a shit ton of art assets. I spent basically almost $500 on this just to run a campaign. On that note we have 1 spot not filled (Wanted a 6 player party and only got 5) so if anyone is interested in playing with us send me a PM!

I was rooting through old boxes of books and found A First Edition Copy of Lord of the Rings! I'll take a picture and post it later. I've read the books a thousand times but I've got the urge to read it again now that I stumbled upon this!
