[DI-X: PRP] [GUIDE] Shiny Swapping Guide for Sun and Moon

This is a way to get a shiny almost 100% of the time from breeding in Sun and Moon using a new exploit found recently.

How It Works

It works due to the fact that Sun and Moon determines Iv's, Natures and Shininess way before you start the process of breeding, This allows us to exploit this to get a guaranteed shiny (As long as you do it correctly)

How To Do It

You're going to need a few things before we start.

- A foreign ditto (This makes the whole process quicker due to the masuda method)

- A Magikarp (Has the shortest egg hatching time)

Now to start the method

Step 1 - Save your game. This is important as we want to reset back to this point later

Step 2 - Deposit your ditto and magikarp

Step 3 - Run around and collect 30 eggs, Take the magikarp out to prevent more eggs spawning.

Step 4 - Hatch those 30 eggs, if any are shiny make a note of which egg it was ( The 12th egg or something like that). If none are shiny, repeat steps 1-5 until one is

Step 5 - Reset your game

Step 6 - Put Ditto and the pokemon you want shiny into the nursery. If your pokemon is 100% male or female or genderless, you need to reject

Step 7 - Collect the amount of eggs you need (so if the 12th egg was shiny, collect 12 eggs) If your pokemon is 100% male or female or genderless, you need to reject the egg and then use the next one due to the way the game rolls the eggs ( so for minor you need to reject egg 12 and hatch egg 13)

Step 8 - Hatch that last egg and the pokemon should be shiny

This guide is going to be revised as I test the method myself fully and extra info will be coming, also I will be giving away shinies that I have obtained using this method. Comment below if you want one of the shinies. :)

There free mate, I find this method easy to do and easy to complete so shinies are common. Drop me your FC by PM and we can arrange a time, (the Iv's are random, I think one is 4iv)

How was this method discovered? I'm always skeptical of things like this.

Data mining discovered the coding behind the method and then someone worked out that you could use it to manipulate it for Iv's and Shininess. Here is an image explaining it further and there is also some links in the top right corner you can follow, https://imgur.com/a/YNabu

Thanks. I saw on reddit a similar method for getting "quick" 6 IV pokemon. However, I feel that if you had the 6 IV ditto, the "quick" method probably takes just as long if not longer.

Yea as with the 6iv you are doing the exact same just looking at the IV's instead. Can be a bit of a pain to do.

Hi, I would love either of the shinies that you have! I think that while this is a legitimate way to obtain shinies, I think that it could also really affect the trading community as the value of shinies crashes.
