Small Dino Trap
Who this is for:
Any small Dino really... However I especially like to use these for taming early game raptors because it can be made with only wood and therefore not only low on resource requirements but also a lot earlier then stone on the engram chart. The concept is straight forward like most traps of this sort. You aggro your small Dino of choice and have them chase you up the ramp... you the hop the hole on the opposing ceiling piece and wait for the Dino to fall in the pit trying to get to you. Parts to build:
- 9 x Wooden Foundations
- 4 x Wooden Windowframe
- 4 x Wood Wall
- 1 x Wood Ceiling
- 3 x Wood Ramp Total Resources:
- 1,264 x Wood
- 316 x Thatch

Any Medium Dino really... However I especially like to use these for taming early game Trikes or even for just luring them in to be killed safely. The concept is straight forward like most traps of this sort. You aggro your medium Dino of choice and have them chase you up the ramp... you the hop down into the trap and run straight ahead and threw the opposing doorways as the Dino falls in behind you, trapped. Parts to build:
- 6 x Stone Foundations
- 8 x Stone Doorframe
- 2 x Stone Wall
- 2 x Wood Ramp Total Resources:
- 800 x Stone
- 528 x Wood
- 336 x Thatch

Any flying Dino really... However I especially like to use these for taming early game Argents or even for just luring them in to be killed safely. The concept is straight forward like most traps of this sort. You aggro your Flying Dino of choice and have them chase you into the trap as you speed threw the other gateways and close it promptly... they will stay aggro'd on you so you should be able to walk around and close the other gate trapping your prey to be killed or tamed. You can even remove the 4 center ceiling tiles from the roof and place a Giant Stone Hatchframe to be able to drop Dino's in, etc etc... Also keep in mind this is a optimal setup.. you could experiment with making the entire trap smaller if you want to optimize for least needed materials. Parts to build:

- 40 x Stone Doorframe
- 2 x Stone Dinosaur Gateway
- 2 x Reinforced Dinosaur Gate

I recently came across one of these on a Official PVP server except the one I came across also has one more tier of walls and a roof. With such a configuration it would work in place of all traps listed above and would also be very secure in case your taming in a hostile environment where open pits are not suggested. Make sure to click the picture to get a 3D model to view. This has so many options for taming with the windows and open halls... as well as the enclosed area above to tranq while being defended. Parts to build:

- 16 x Stone Ceilings
- 4 x Stone Doorframe
- 22 x Stone Wall
- 14 x Stone Windowframe
- 2 x Stone Dinosaur Gateway
- 4 x Stone Hatchframe

These will have various uses depending on the hostility or game mode of your servers. Please let me know if we should continue to add traps and feel free to suggest some and id be happy to sketch them out and give credit where credit is due. I can add in a mix of traps for different purposes and/or varying sizes and designs.
